  • Zee Avi Houseparty for Starbucks

To promote the release of Zee Avi's second record, Ghostbird, in Starbucks shops around the country, our friends down at Brushifre Records asked us to document an intimate houseshow at their studio in LA. The piece we made for them was just release on the Starbucks website. Thanks to Dana Shaw for cutting this piece with us.

  • Release the Sunbird "Come Back To Us"

About a month ago my friend Tyler Manson asked if I would help him shoot a music video for Zach Rogue (of Rogue Wave's) new project, Release the Sunbird. Inspired by the introspective, folk-rock vibe of the new record we grabbed my bolex, piled in an old beat-up truck and drove up the Northern California coast. The video for "Come Back to Us," which premiered on Spinner, documents our journey to a creek up in Inverness, where Zach and Kate set sail in a handmade boat by San Francisco woodworker Jay Nelson. Catch the new record out today on Brushfire Records.

  • High/Low Film on Style.com

The latest release from High/Low Film is up. Working again with 3.1 Phillip Lim and director Andrew Paynter, we created this portrait of three chic women riding bikes through San Francisco. In an exclusive interview for Style.com, Phillip described his inspiration for the piece: "On a bike, you are noticing everything around you and you get to take a breath. [These girls] are really dressed for the day— it’s poetic and beautiful at the same time." We agree!

Here are a few stills from the shoot:
